Sarawak head coach insist he doesn’t want Sarawak’s former players

Robert Alberts has dismissed that he would make a u-turn and sign released players Muamer Salibasic or Gavor Gyepes for the coming season. The Dutchman was quoted by Utusan Sarawak as saying that both players are not in his plans especially for Muamer. Both players have stated they are interested to return to Sarawak if given a chance as they are both fit and injury free.

Robert’s statement means that the Crocs would be hunting for a new foreign import when the April transfer window opens, with a defender or midfielder most likely to be signed in replacement of Ronald whom picked up a long term injury.

Yesterday, we quoted Utusan Sarawak as saying Gabor was favourites to be signed as he was playing in defence. Nonetheless, our contact with Gabor confirmed that there has just been inquiries, but nothing formal.

Sarawak is looking for a new foreign player after Ronald snapped his tendon in the Super League fixture against Selangor last weekend.
